True to life examples are unpredictable and highly original and so were Dave & Ginny, our tweet-up guests. Dave deBronkiart has mostly been invited to speak at patient empowerment conferences alone. But, in reading between the lines of Laugh, Sing, Eat like a Pig, one realizes the massive importance of Ginny, Dave's wife, in Dave's life…sort of like the wedding vows to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, And Dave regularly reminds us that he and Ginny honeymooned in Paris…So, how fitting for the French and English bilingual tweet-up that they both joined in and told us how much they are loving life.

What are the takeaways from the tweet-up with Dave (three-years after the big battle) and Ginny?

1) More than ever, the importance of action versus resignation. Action includes: finding out information, making choices, arming up for combat, loving life,…working with the best medical teams.

2)The possibility of tolerating heavy side effects and getting the most out of the treatment, when you choose to do so…and hopefully being surrounded by love and affection along the way.

3) Dave was helped by a veterinarian spouse who could right off the bat explain the nitty gritty of his medical exams. It's not impossible, but certainly more difficult without. Armed with information and wanting more, Dave was eager to participate in Acor.org the site we've already presented here and that he learned about from Dr Danny Sands, I believe.

4) We also enjoyed @epatientdave 's mention of data prison, the scenario in which data is locked up at your doctor's office and not available where you need it

5) And saving the most important for last : the medical team of doctors, surgeons, nurses- those indispensable folks that dispensed the treatments

Here are some of Ginny's tweets
